A belated posting this as Angel Radio Isle of Wight became the Island's first community radio station with its own Ofcom licence at the end of March this year (2007).

A fanfare of trumpets heralded its entry into real live broadcasting since when it's been going from strength to strength.

Supported by the original Angel Radio guru Tony Smith, Richard Anscombe has started setting up the Angel Radio Isle of Wight website although the online radio streaming is by courtesy of Tony Smith and the Havant station.

Running a radio station is a costly business when it comes to buying licences --licences to broadcast, to play music, to do outside broadcasts and yes, we would need another licence for online streaming. The team is looking into that now so one day ....

Sorry about the interruption in posting here --for some reason lost my way and started another set of posts at
the second Angel Radio blog and a lens at Angel Radio on Squidoo

As official Press and PR volunteer now for Angel Radio Isle of Wight (hmmm are they trying to divert me from broadcasting?...) I shall spend a little time rationalising the output to give each site a unique angle.

Not to mention a lot of time working on getting maximum hewspaper and magazine coverage --did I really volunteer to do this?

Back sooner than last time I hope...
