Angel Radio, Isle of Wight. This is Day One recording my progress as a trainee angel for Angel Radio IOW. Angel Radio is now on the way to becoming the community radio station on the Isle of Wight for the over-60s and everyone who enjoys pre-Beatles music.
The team (Chris Gutteridge, Bev Webster et alii --not me) have won their wings presenting music and memories on cable 24 hours a day for the past five years. I am still flapping around on the sidelines wondering what makes a great radio presenter and how I will ever match up to their effortless expertise.
This will be a steep learning curve as we go live on FM in January 2006.
